The highly-anticipated Thor sequel, Thor: Love and Thunder, will be following the events of Avengers: Endgame. As such, Thor will be seen alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy. While it’s expected that his association with the Guardians of the Galaxy in the new film will only be in the opening, it seems that both Thor and the Guardians will have had a heavy influence on each other. A new piece of Thor: Love and Thunder merchandise has revealed that there will actually be a “Ravager Thor,” which implies that the titular character has joined the Ravagers.
The image, which you can see below, quite clearly shows a change for Thor’s appearance.
While he’ll inevitably return to a more traditional style as the film progresses, this does suggest some major changes for the Guardians going forward.

First off, it’s worth noting that the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Ravagers have had particularly dodgy relationships. The two groups have united for common interests in the past, but generally, they’ve maintained some grudges against one another. It’s possible that Thor, as a Ravager, is the individual that can fully bring them together in a peaceful way. Furthermore, it’s also possible that the groups might even be unified at some point. With Thor in the middle of it all, he may be the one that makes it all work out. And for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 which will be released next year, this will most likely impact the events of that film.
Of course, we’ll have to see where Thor: Love and Thunder takes these iconic characters first. As such, fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for more news on that front as we have it. Thor: Love and Thunder is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 8, 2022. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 will be released on May 5, 2023.
