It’s been revealed that Game of Thrones actor Joseph Gatt was arrested on suspicion of committing sex crimes against a child. Despite this, however, Joseph Gatt has so far denied the allegations. This information was released by the LAPD, and it’s been stated that they are currently investigating the matter.
In fact, the LAPD has stated that they’re “seeking to identify any additional victims after the arrest of 50-year-old Joseph Gatt, a Los Angeles resident.”
Here’s a statement regarding his arrest via Breaking911:
“On April 6, 2022, around 4:45 a.m., detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Juvenile Division, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, served a residential search warrant at the home of Joseph Gatt in the area of 3rd Street and La Jolla, after they received information that Gatt had been engaged in online sexually explicit communication with a minor across state lines,” the LAPD said in a press release. “He was subsequently arrested by detectives for an outstanding felony warrant for California Penal Code 288.3(a) – Contact with a Minor for Sexual Offense.”
In his effort to deny the allegations, Joseph Gatt gave his own statement on social media. He insists that the allegations are “100% categorically wrong and reckless.” As you can read below:
“I obviously want to address the absolutely horrifying and completely untrue allegations recently leveled against me. They are 100% categorically wrong and reckless. I have confirmed errors and misleading information in today’s press release. I am fully cooperating with police and LAPD to get to the bottom of this. I look forward to clearing my good name.”
The actor who played in the aforementioned HBO series continued by addressing his followers specifically:
“Thank you to all of my friends and supporters who know this is untrue and understand for legal reasons I cannot comment further on social media.”
This is certainly a shocking matter, and we’ll continue to report updates on ScreenGeek as we have them. As such, stay tuned for any further information regarding these allegations.
