After a lengthy development period, the highly-anticipated Kraven the Hunter film adaptation is finally on the way. The titular character is best known as one of Spider-Man’s most iconic villains, one which would eventually become a founding leader for the Sinister Six supervillain team. Now that Sony has had success with properties like Venom, they’ve been branching out by giving more Spider-Man characters their own spin-offs. This includes the upcoming film Morbius, and now the aforementioned Kraven the Hunter. As you can see below, production on Kraven the Hunter is moving ahead steadily, with footage having been shot on the set of the film.
This is especially exciting considering how long the film has been in development, as mentioned above. It took quite awhile for the project to get off the ground, but after the success of Venom and the more recently-released Spider-Man: No Way Home, it’s clear that Sony is putting the property on the fast-track. This was evident with some of the recent casting announcements, which revealed some truly exciting names for the upcoming project. But now this newly-surfaced Kraven the Hunter set footage should have fans even more excited.

Of course, it’s currently unknown what exactly the context for this sequence is. But it does appear that the stunt-double for star Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who’s playing the titular character, is the one holding onto the moving car. As such, it’ll probably turn out to be quite a crazy sequence in the final product. Fans will only have to wait until January 2023 to know for sure. At this rate, we should have more details revealed sooner rather than later.
J.C. Chandor is directing the film from a screenplay by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk. The film will be produced by Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach.
Audiences will be able to see Kraven the Hunter when it hits theaters early next year, on January 13, 2023.
