In a way similar to the Batman character that he portrays in the newly-released film The Batman, actor Robert Pattinson has another identity. It isn’t a superhero, however, so much as someone that anonymously argues with Batman haters. Indeed, Robert Pattinson has recently admitted to anonymously arguing with haters on the internet.
He revealed as much while speaking with Vanity Fair, explaining that sometimes the trolls push him a little too far. As a result, he finds a need to respond. It’s obviously quite different from fighting crime, but it still is very amusing.
Here’s what he revealed:
“Sometimes I just get pushed a little far and I have to respond something,” he joked. “So, when sometimes you just see a quite abstract message going like, ‘Just please, just leave me alone,’ that’s me [laughs]. ‘Stop picking faults. I’m doing my best.’ [laughs].”
Although, Robert Pattinson did reveal there was some good to be found online. In fact, he used plenty of forums as inspiration when preparing for the role.
“It’s actually very… I’m just reading these again and it’s extremely helpful to have these fan theories,” he explained. “I used to look at a lot of the forum stuff and it actually really did inform my character a lot. Still look at it nowadays… I generally lurk.”
Either way, it looks like Robert Pattinson ultimately didn’t have a need to be arguing with anyone online. As it turns out, The Batman has been doing quite well with fans and critics alike. The film was released on March 4, 2022, and Robert Pattinson has often been considered one of the film’s biggest highlights. As such, it seems likely that whatever inspiration he took from online forums also went in his favor. As such, if fans haven’t yet seen The Batman, they still have an opportunity to check it out in theaters.
