There’s a lot of anticipation for Kraven the Hunter, one of Sony’s latest attempts at expanding the Spider-Man franchise and giving one of the webslinger’s iconic villains their own film. With the upcoming blockbuster currently being prepared for production, we’ve been getting our first major cast announcements. The latest of which reveals that actor Fred Hechinger, known for his role on White Lotus, has been cast as Chameleon in the upcoming Kraven the Hunter adaptation.
While this news hasn’t been officially confirmed by the studio, it comes courtesy of Deadline where Fred Hechinger’s Chameleon character will also be the brother of Kraven. Aaron Taylor-Johnson has already been cast in the titular Kraven role, and Russell Crowe was most recently announced. At that time it was stated that many cast members of the film would be playing Kraven’s family, so this new Chameleon announcement falls in line with that.
As Deadline was able to reveal:
“Fred Hechinger has joined Sony Pictures’ Kraven the Hunter, starring Aaron Taylor Johnson in the titular role. Although it’s unconfirmed, sources say Hechinger would play Chameleon, the brother of Kraven, in the movie.”
