Fans are excited for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the upcoming sequel to the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Black Panther. While the film sadly cannot include actor Chadwick Boseman, it will focus on other elements introduced in the previous Black Panther movie instead. This now includes a returning cast member from Black Panther, as revealed in a newly surfaced photo.
Actor Danny Sapani, who played the character M’Kathu in Black Panther, is the aforementioned returning cast member. Fans will be able to see him in an image tweeted by actress Lupita Nyong’o, and it features several other cast members as well. Specifically, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Angela Basset, Letitia Wright, and finally Danny Sapani. The photo was posted to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the first film.
Here’s the picture:

As you can see, she also included the following caption:
“Greetings from Wakanda! Happy 4th anniversary to #BlackPanther.”
This is certainly an exciting addition to the film, and it illustrates just how much continuity Marvel hopes to provide between the two Black Panther movies. As work on the sequel continues, it’s highly expected that several other returning cast members and familiar faces will also be announced. Hopefully we’ll have a clearer idea as to how the film will play out soon. As such, fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for updates on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as we have them. It’s going to be a great time to be a fan.
Ryan Coogler will direct Black Panther: Wakanda Forever from a screenplay he co-wrote with Joe Robert Cole.
The cast we can currently expect for the new MCU film includes Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Martin Freeman, and Angela Bassett. Michaela Coel and Tenoch Huerta will also be joining the film’s cast.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, as of this writing, is scheduled to hit theaters on November 11, 2022.
