It’s no secret that the upcoming film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be introducing a wide number of variant superheroes. After the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which proved just how much potential the Multiverse concept could have, fans immediately became anxious to know what other variant superheroes could appear in the MCU. With potential for both original characters and those from other continuities, the possibilities have seemed endless. Now, with the new Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer, it seems we’ve possibly gotten our first glimpse at a variant version of Captain Marvel.
Actress Brie Larson has been the main actress associated with the character, having played her in the film Captain Marvel and in other appearances across the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She’ll also be reprising the role for several other Captain Marvel-related projects, like Ms. Marvel and The Marvels. As for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, however, it seems reasonable that this potential variant version of Captain Marvel could actually be played by someone else.
Of course, it’s difficult to tell at the moment, given that the glimpses of the alleged Captain Marvel in the new Doctor Strange trailer are very quick. As you can see in the images provided below:

Hopefully we’ll have a better idea regarding this character’s utilization in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel soon. Until then, Brie Larson fans will have to keep waiting for a confirmation if it’s her character or not. Fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for more updates on the project as we have them.
