Moon Knight is finally set to premiere on Disney Plus next month, after years and years of fans of the cult Marvel character hoping to see it brought to life in live-action. When it was announced that it would be coming to Disney Plus, however, many took that as a sign that it could be a watered down version of a pretty violent character. Well, the rating for the show has been revealed – and it honestly shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone.
Moon Knight has been rated TV-14. As you probably already know, TV-14 is basically the same as PG-13, what the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies are typically rated. Those who were expecting to see a TV-MA rating for something on Disney Plus probably didn’t have realistic expectations.
You can see the rating confirmed in the photos below:

A TV-14 rating isn’t a bad thing, though and Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige recently even stated that Moon Knight is brutal:
“He’s brutal. It’s been fun to work with Disney+ and see the boundaries shifting on what we’re able to do. There are moments [in the series] when Moon Knight is wailing on another character, and it is loud and brutal, and the knee-jerk reaction is, ‘We’re gonna pull back on this, right?’ No. We’re not pulling back. There’s a tonal shift. This is a different thing. This is Moon Knight.”
Just how brutal the show will be remains to be seen but Feige’s comments should ease any doubts fans may have about the show. There’s not much of a wait to for the series now, as Moon Knight is currently set to hit Disney Plus on March 30th.
