Marvel’s massive Infinity Saga concluded with the film Avengers: Endgame, a movie that brought together a vast number of heroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. By the film’s climax, fans were subjected to an epic battle sequence that saw all of these superheroes come together for one final fight. It was a great moment, and one which has been further analyzed over the years. Now some fans have pointed out something of a plot hole in Avengers: Endgame, concerning Chris Pratt’s character Star-Lord.
The character is depicted flying into battle with plenty of other Marvel superheroes. However, it seems like there was something of a VFX error when creating the scene. While there are quite a few iffy moments that fans have pointed out over the years, it’s the moment with Star-Lord that’s been gaining the most attention recently. Simply because, it doesn’t seem like Star-Lord should even be able to fly. The character is revealed to be using propulsion blasters from his shoes, but that’s it. And that certainly shouldn’t be enough power to keep the hero flying through the air as he’s shown to do.
As you can see in the below Reddit post:
How the hell does Star Lord fly with just two tiny little rockets lol

Interestingly, however, there is another moment with Star-Lord that seems to explain what’s happening here. In this later Avengers: Endgame shot, Star-Lord is shown with a jetpack. It stands to reason that he was probably supposed to use this jetpack along with his propulsion blasters in the earlier scene, but the VFX artists left it out for whatever reason. But considering the intense amount of work the artists had to deal with while working on the movie, it makes sense that a few errors made their way through.
Nevertheless, Avengers: Endgame remains a beloved Marvel Cinematic Universe film. The fact that fans would want to analyze the film so much that they’d spot small errors like these is a testament to how much they love this material. As such, it’s safe to say that Avengers: Endgame ultimately did turn out the way it should have.
