The first official poster for Netflix’s upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie has been released – and it gives us our first look at the return of the original Leatherface, who some are now calling Old Man Leatherface. As some of you may already know, this new movie is a sequel similar to the 2018 Halloween movie in that it will pick up directly after the 1974 classic movie, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
It’s also been revealed that a new full trailer will be released on January 31st, this upcoming Monday. We were given a teaser trailer for the film back in early December, but this new one will likely give us a much longer look and an idea of what to expect.

Producer Fede Alvarez spoke about how the new film will be, saying:
“Our take on it was this guy probably disappeared after everything he’s done. You know, how do you catch a guy who has a mask? Once he removes the mask and runs away, it’s very easy for him to hide somewhere. This story will pick it up many, many years after the original story. He’s been in hiding for a long, long time, trying to be a good person. These people arriving in this town are going to awaken the giant.”
The synopsis for the film reads:
After nearly 50 years of hiding, Leatherface returns to terrorize a group of idealistic young friends who accidentally disrupt his carefully shielded world in a remote Texas town.
David Blue Garcia directed the film based on a screenplay written by Chris Thomas Devlin.
The cast for the film includes Elsie Fisher, Sarah Yarkin, Mark Burnham, Moe Dunford, Alice Krige, Jacob Latimore, Nell Hudson, Jessica Allain, Sam Douglas, William Hope, and Jolyon Coy. Olwen Fouéré will play Sally Hardesty and Mark Burnham will play Leatherface. It was also just revealed that John Larroquette will return to narrate the film.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre hits Netflix on February 18th.
