It’s only been a few months since Halloween Kills was finally released in theaters during October 2021. Now the next installment in the Halloween franchise is getting underway. Specifically, the upcoming film titled Halloween Ends will actually conclude David Gordon Green’s trilogy of sequels centered around Michael Myers and Laurie Strode. The films began in 2018, when David Gordon Green brought the two characters back for Halloween – a direct sequel to the original 1978 classic. Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role as Laurie Strode in each of the films, and now fans can see her on the set of Halloween Ends.
As stated in the actress’s Instagram account, she gave the following caption to accompany the image:
“OLD DOG NEW TRICKS”

After much of Halloween Kills showed Laurie Strode injured and beaten after the events of Halloween, it looks like she’s back on her feet. In fact, it appears that Jamie Lee Curtis is sporting an all-new hairstyle for the character in Halloween Ends, which should be a refreshing change. Of course, it’s likely that it won’t stay all that fresh once she crosses paths with Michael Myers yet again. The new film is supposed to take place several years after Halloween and Halloween Kills, setting Halloween Ends both in modern times and a post-COVID world. While we don’t know much else about the story beyond that, it’s more than likely going to be a much different kind of Halloween film than we’re used to. Hopefully it’ll be the finale that fans are hoping for.
David Gordon Green will once again return to direct Halloween Ends, the sequel to its predecessors Halloween and Halloween Kills.
Aside from Jamie Lee Curtis, the cast for the film also includes Andi Matichak, Kyle Richards, and Michael O’Leary. James Jude Courtney will return to play the role of The Shape alongside original Michael Myers actor Nick Castle.
Fans will be able to see Halloween Ends this year on October 14, 2022.
