With Disney Plus stronger than ever, the streaming platform has already released a variety of Marvel Cinematic Universe shows. These shows have introduced new characters and also followed existing storylines in an effort to expand and grow the cinematic universe of superheroes and villains. With several shows already set to be released this year, fans are eager for everything that’s on the way. This now also includes Secret Invasion, a Disney Plus series based on the comic book storyline of the same name which will also follow Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury. And now a new set video from the production of Secret Invasion has revealed some interesting details about the project.
As it turns out, a new set video and several photos from the show’s production at Halifax Piece Hall in West Yorkshire, England have surfaced online. They show plenty of Russian signs, that when translated, apparently read “National Unity Day.”
You can see these Russian signs from the Secret Invasion set video and photos for yourself down below:

It’s unclear what exactly this means, but it appears to indicate that a huge event will be taking place for “National Unity Day.” The country was most recently featured in Black Widow, however it’s unclear if that will have any impact on the events of Secret Invasion. Interestingly, there is a real-life “Unity Day” that Russia celebrates on November 4 – so it’s possible that’s what these signs are referring to.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been planting the seeds for Secret Invasion, and the Skrulls that will be featured throughout the storyline, for quite some time. This includes references in Captain Marvel, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and the more recent Spider-Man: No Way Home. It’ll definitely be interesting to see who has been a Skrull agent and who hasn’t by the time the series is released.
Fans can expect the series to most likely premiere sometime in 2022.
