It’s always nice to see an iconic film location that’s still standing. This obviously includes Stu Macher’s house from Scream, which was used heavily during the movie’s third act. What’s more, both the interiors and exteriors for the house were taken from the same real-life building, located in Tomales, California. If that’s not enough, the iconic structure mostly looks the same all these years later. Now YouTube channel Dead Meat has taken the opportunity to give a tour of the fan-favorite Scream house.
The tour, which you can see below, is led by both James and Chelsea from the Dead Meat channel. The two go over all of the iconic spots in the house that were shown in the classic movie, and it’s such a great treat for fans. After all, many movies have locations that are built with stages or were torn down after a certain amount of time. As such, it really is great to see that Stu Macher’s iconic house from Scream still stands and looks the way it did in 1996.

Meanwhile, if fans are still anxious for more Scream content, there is a new movie on the way this month. And what’s also great about this new film, is that it also uses Stu Macher’s house from the original Scream! While plot details are scarce, early reviews for the film have been quite positive. As such, it’s presumable that the film does great justice to this beloved shooting location.
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett directed the new Scream, taking over for the late Wes Craven who directed the original four films. James Vanderbilt wrote the script with Guy Busick. Original Scream screenwriter Kevin Williamson is executive producing alongside Chad Villella. Project X Entertainment’s James Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein and William Sherak are serving as producers on the film.
The cast for Scream includes returning cast members David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Marley Shelton, and Roger L. Jackson. The new cast members include Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Dylan Minnette, Mikey Madison, Sonia Ben Ammar and Kyle Gallner.
Scream is currently scheduled to hit theaters on January 14, 2022.
