It’s been a long wait for the third season of The Boys, Amazon Prime Video’s hilariously brutal and violent superhero satire. Luckily, the wait is almost over. As an example of this, the first trailer for The Boys Season 3 has finally been released. As you can see below, the trailer begins with showing Starlight and Homelander as the two reunite at the Vought International Headquarters.
While the trailer doesn’t illustrate much in the way of this season’s plot, it’s nice to have some ideas for certain characters. Specifically, the aforementioned Starlight and Homelander. Of course, those who’ve been keeping up with the news know that Jensen Ackles will be arriving this season as Soldier Boy. With so many fans anxious to see Jensen Ackles’ take on the character, this will most likely be the biggest season of the show yet.
Here’s the first trailer for The Boys Season 3:
As for the setup of the series, for those who aren’t as well-initiated with the lore of The Boys…
“The Boys is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven”, and their formidable Vought backing.”
The trailer also reveals that The Boys Season 3 will be available to watch on Amazon Prime Video beginning June 3, 2022. Indeed, fans won’t have much longer to wait at all. And with multiple spin-offs based on the property in the works, it should definitely be the perfect time to be a fan of the material. As such, fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for more details on The Boys and its associated spin-offs as we have them.
