The Marvel Cinematic Universe has recently started introducing some Marvel Netflix characters into the fold, leaving fans wondering who else they can expect to see hit the big screen in the near future. However, one Marvel star isn’t sure if they’d even want to return to have their character join in on the MCU action. Jessica Henwick, who played Colleen Wing in Iron Fist, was recently asked about the possibility – and had a pretty interesting answer.
The actress noted that she’d love to reprise her role as Wing because of how much she loves the character. However, it would also be very difficult for her to throw Wing back into chaos given that the character left off in such a great place before the show’s cancelation back in 2018. Ultimately, Henwick just wants Colleen to have a happy ending.
Here’s what she had to say in an interview with SyFy:
“I’m so torn. On the one hand yes [I want to return as Colleen Wing], because I loved her and I put so much work into her. And she is one of those characters I tried to protect so hard. I felt really passionate about her story. So yes. I would love to revisit her and get back into her head.
“On the other hand, we left her in a great place. She’s paired up with Misty, she’s got that going on, she’s got her powers, she seems to be good at it. She’s living her best life. And I know if we bring her back, we have to bring her into conflict. I just want her to have her happy ending.”
Now more than ever the possibility of Netflix Marvel stars entering the MCU is at its highest. Especially with Daredevil‘s Charlie Cox reprising his role as Matt Murdock for a small cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Also, Vincent D’Onofrio returned for the Disney Plus Hawkeye series to step into the role of “The Kingpin” Wilson Fisk again.
With other shows such as Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and The Punisher still in Marvel’s back pocket, there’s not telling how many more surprises Kevin Feige and company are getting ready to dish out for fans.
