Hawkeye is currently setting the streaming world ablaze as it nears the end of its season on Disney Plus. Fans have gotten an up close and personal look at Clint Barton and the repercussions of not only his time as Ronin, but the survivor’s guilt and imposter syndrome as his time as an Avenger. On top of that, we have been introduced to a new hero, the Young Avenger Kate Bishop. Their tentative partnership has been a wonderful dynamic for the fans. It has also given us quite an interesting cameo of sorts in (obvious spoilers) Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin! Now, with the finale episode on its way, a new teaser sets up ‘The Boss’.
It’s Christmas time and Barton is out of time as he and Kate look to end it all and bring the bad guys down. The problem is, Kate’s mom may be one of them, and she’s working with none other than the Kingpin! We still don’t know whether this is the Netflix version of Wilson Fisk or an MCU variant, but showrunners Bert and Bertie have said we will get our answer this episode.

The climax looks to take place on the iconic Rockefeller Center Ice Rink, right by the even more iconic Christmas tree. We see that Clint needs more trick arrows, so he makes them himself. Kate and Clint fight the Track Suit Mafia, but they may not be alone. Yelena is there, and after the revelation of who hired her, it’s unclear if she is there to finish her assignment and kill Clint or to help them get to the bottom of it all. And then, of course, there’s that reveal.
The trailer still doesn’t show all, but we do see the Kingpin walking in, this time with a cane. A huge iconography from the comics, D’Onofrio’s version on Netflix never used one. Could a future fight with Daredevil after the last season be the need for it? Is the MCU version different? Is it just a modern aesthetic for his look?
All our questions will (hopefully) be answered when the final episode of Hawkeye hits Disney Plus on December 22nd!
