It seems that ever since the film started production, a large variety of leaks and rumors have surrounded Spider-Man: No Way Home. This continues to be the case for its theatrical release. While many fans have been excited to finally see the new film and find out answers to their biggest questions, it seems others have had the film outright spoiled for them left and right. With different video clips leaking online, and even the full film in some cases, it’s been hard for some fans that have to wait to see the movie to avoid spoilers. Now even The Academy has spoiled Spider-Man: No Way Home.
As you can see on the social media post below, the spoilers they shared aren’t exactly intricate. However, they do give away one of the big reveals that was highly speculated up until the film’s release. Specifically, they note that there are “three generations of Peter Parker …our friendly neighborhood Spider-Men,” which indeed reveals that alongside Tom Holland there are appearances from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

While it isn’t that particularly huge of a spoiler, it does reveal something that the studio attempted to hide up until the film’s release date. As such, fans are responding to the tweet rather negatively, calling them out for having spoiled Spider-Man: No Way Home. Here are some of their reactions:

The fact that they are appreciating the 3 generations of Spider-Man isn’t a spoiler, what is a spoiler is everyone typing “OMG SPOILERS” in the comments (I mean so am I, but you get my point). Just let things be

Perhaps it adds fuel to the fire as to what should be considered a spoiler, what isn’t, and when it’s okay to discuss them. In any case, the new film did do a great job of bringing together three generations of Spider-Man – so perhaps The Academy should receive some gratitude for their efforts. After all, this was definitely a film for the fans.
The new Marvel Cinematic Universe film Spider-Man: No Way Home is now available in theaters.
