With the Spider-Man: No Way Home marketing having finally revealed so much from the film, some fans have taken the time to go back to the very beginning. In particular, they’ve decided to have a second look at the first set photos ever released for the film. And, as it turns out, these early set photos actually appear to hint at the ending for No Way Home.
With the ending of Spider-Man: Far From Home, the previous film in the series, it was revealed that Peter Parker was indeed Spider-Man. It was a massive revelation and one that Peter Parker hoped to reverse as revealed in the trailers for Spider-Man: No Way Home. While it’s unknown if he’s successful, the first set photos do seem to indicate that this could actually be the ending for No Way Home. As noted via ScreenRant, the set photos revealed a nervous Peter Parker attempting to talk to MJ while ordering a coffee.
Of course, since the two are friends and have been through so much together, it’s kind of odd that Peter Parker would be nervous. He ultimately decides to only get the coffee instead, which seems to suggest that MJ no longer remembers Peter as she once did.

This ending would make sense, considering the series is intended to move forward with more sequels focused on Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. It’s a great way to both conclude the film and the initial MCU Spider-Man trilogy, yet set the stage for more sequels. Of course, we’ll just have to see if this remains the case once the film is out in theaters.
The upcoming MCU film was directed by Jon Watts from a script by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
Tom Holland, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, and Hannibal Buress are all attached to appear.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is scheduled to hit theaters on December 17, 2021.
