One of the most exciting aspects for Spider-Man: No Way Home is how the movie will apparently open up the Multiverse. While it’s still unclear how exactly this occurs, it appears to have had something to do with Doctor Strange. The character was shown as far back as the first trailer to have accidentally opened up the Multiverse while attempting to help Peter Parker. Or, rather, both he and Peter Parker made mistakes that led to the spell going wrong. Either way, it was clear that magic was involved with the film’s plot – and now with a brand new No Way Home clip, the accident with Doctor Strange’s spell is further revealed.
The clip begins by showing Doctor Strange helping Peter Parker by attempting to make the world forget he is Spider-Man. However, Peter Parker begins to complicate things by asking for MJ and Ned to remember his secret. As a result, the magic gets out of control, and the characters even levitate while their surrounding environment is destroyed. While it still doesn’t explain the long-term results of the spell, this new No Way Home clip definitely puts things into perspective.
Here it is below:
Fans will likely have to wait until the official release of Spider-Man: No Way Home to know what happens for sure. With the entire Multiverse apparently breaking open, it’s clear that the ramifications of this spell will more than likely last into several movies going forward – if not more. As such, fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for Multiverse updates as we have them.
The upcoming MCU film was directed by Jon Watts from a script by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
Tom Holland, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, and Hannibal Buress are all attached to appear.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is scheduled to hit theaters on December 17, 2021.
