Spider-Man: No Way Home is the most anticipated movie of all time. And the lack of news and marketing around the film has everyone buzzing over what could possibly happen in the third Spidey flick in the Marvel/Sony deal. With the multiversal aspect of villains from past franchises returning as well as the heavy rumored addition of previous Spider-Men Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield having a part to play, Marvel and Sony have done all they can to keep this movie under wraps.
Things were so secretive Aunt May actress Marisa Tomei had to confide about it to the one of the only people legally obligated to keep it a secret.
Tomei spoke with Backstage OL during a recent press junket that she told her therapist the ending of the movie, to get it off of her chest.
“Only my therapist knows! Under oath, I had to tell someone!”
While she says this in a bit of a joking manner, it is likely that the only person she could say anything to would be her therapist who can’t legally divulge anything said in a session. The security surrounding this movie is higher than ever from Marvel as they don’t want anymore leaks or spoilers slipping out to the public. Even as the press gets their early screening, they are only getting to see about a third of the movie, and are still under very strict NDA’s.
The film is selling out everywhere already as it sets pre-sell records around the globe. The two studios are using military level security to keep fans in the dark so that they are in for a genuine surprise when the movie finally hits theaters next week.
There have already been too many leaks and rumors when it comes to Spider-Man: No Way Home, but it still promises to be full of surprises and nostalgic moments that fans are going to lose their minds over. So much so that even the actors in the movie feel the pressure of keeping secrets.
