While Spider-Man: No Way Home comes out next week – it hasn’t stopped Sony and Marvel Studios marketing from releasing all types of new footage to hype up the film. Some fans have suggested that they shouldn’t have even released a trailer for the film and let us go into it completely blind – while others can’t seem to get enough. Earlier this week, fans thought a new trailer would be coming out next week according to a recent post from the BBFC (British Board of Film Certification) – but it appears that’s not the case.
Initially, the BBFC posting on their website had suggested that a new trailer had been approved for release on the 15th, but apparently, that was a small mistake and it was actually referring to the movie itself which releases in the UK on the same date. The trailer it was referencing was just for one that had already been released.
BBFC clarified the confusion in a tweet below:
Hi there, this is a trailer that has already been released for Screen X. The release date on the website is the release date for the film and not the trailer. We are updating our website to reflect this.

Now, this doesn’t exactly mean that we won’t get a new trailer for the film, but this soon to the release date, it might not be likely.
The timing of a new trailer, though, would be interesting, as it could be a trailer that finally confirms the appearances of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield – just to give fans one last ounce of hype to go see the movie. Then again, if you don’t think they’re in the movie by now with all of the leaks and spoilers that have come out, you’ll probably not believe that they’re actually in the movie until you see it in the theater.
Spider-Man: No Way Home releases on December 17th.
