Although we already had our first look at the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot via two exciting images, it appears that Netflix is now surprising us with the first official teaser trailer! The new Texas Chainsaw Massacre teaser was released earlier today at Comic Con Experience, and now it’s been distributed online for fans elsewhere to experience.
The teaser trailer doesn’t reveal much about the film’s plot. However, it does show off a couple of great glimpses at the film’s visual aesthetic – and it definitely appears to be very much inspired by the 1974 classic. This should be good news for fans that prefer their horror films be raw and gritty like the original movie. In that style, Leatherface also appears to be very angry and back to his old ways in the new teaser, so that should be exciting as well. As noted in the teaser trailer, this coming February will see the return of one of horror’s most iconic horror villains.

Hopefully with this teaser trailer now out in the open, we should get some more details about the film soon. After all, fans no doubt have plenty of questions about how this new movie will connect with the original classic. Hopefully this entry does justice to the legacy that film established almost 50 years ago now. In the meantime, fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for updates as we have them.
David Blue Garcia directed the film based on a screenplay written by Chris Thomas Devlin.
The cast for the film includes Elsie Fisher, Sarah Yarkin, Mark Burnham, Moe Dunford, Alice Krige, Jacob Latimore, Nell Hudson, Jessica Allain, Sam Douglas, William Hope, and Jolyon Coy. Olwen Fouéré will play Sally Hardesty and Mark Burnham will play Leatherface.
Fans will finally be able to see Texas Chainsaw Massacre when it premieres on Netflix on February 18, 2022.
