Fans have been wondering for years what could’ve happened to the Avengers Tower that was once such a staple for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s been revealed in Spider-Man: Homecoming that Tony Stark sold the iconic location, but it hasn’t been explained who bought the place. In fact, all we know is that it was undergoing reconstruction during the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Now a new theory suggests that Daredevil series villain Kingpin, otherwise known as Wilson Fisk, is the individual who bought the Avengers Tower.
It’s been revealed that the Avengers Tower is near the penthouse belonging to Kate Bishop’s family. Of course, the series has yet to reveal what the location looks like following its reconstruction. But it’s been speculated, via ScreenRant, that the reveal is on the way. And it just so happens that it’s already been suggested that Kingpin could be making a comeback in the Hawkeye series. It only makes sense, then, that the two would go hand-in-hand together. Especially because Kingpin is known for having his very own Fisk Tower in the comics and many of his other appearances outside the MCU.
This would certainly be a great way to reintroduce the villain and bring him into the MCU proper. After all, Kingpin is one of the most important villains in the comics for most of Marvel’s street heroes. If the character took control of the Avengers Tower, and initiated his own Fisk Tower, then Kingpin would finally be a threat to be reckoned with. It’s even possible that Stark Tower, through some unknown means, could offer the villain even more technology to raise his level of crime to new levels.
It all remains to be seen, but if these theories and rumors about Disney Plus series Hawkeye are true, then we should expect some pretty big reveals from the show.
The cast for Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner as the titular superhero and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop. Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez also star.
Fans can expect new episodes of Hawkeye to be added to Disney Plus weekly every Wednesday.
