When it comes to the marketing for Sony and Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, ‘scarce’ feels like an understatement. Even though this film is coming out in less than a month, the marketing didn’t really start until just a couple of months of ago, and that was just a teaser trailer. More recently, Sony has released one full trailer, a couple posters and a few TV spots. All in all, they’ve done everything they could to keep fans in the dark for this movie. And with good reason. This film, which is arguably the most anticipated film of all time, may just have some of the most insane crossovers ever. But what exactly is going on in this movie?
A new chronological breakdown of all the available footage may help us understand a bit more.
YouTube user CornFlake has gone through every trailer and TV spot to try and figure out the chronological order of the footage to piece together the story. Now, this is in no way an official breakdown, so take this with a grain of salt, but it is worth a watch. Of course, it still can’t tell us whether Tobey and Andrew are actually in the film or not, but it does help shape the plot together somewhat.
It also may reveal that we won’t be getting a ‘Gwen Stacy’ repeat in this movie, which is definitely a good thing. What you can also take from this is that there is a whole lot of this movie that we simply know nothing about at this point. The film is supposedly two hours and forty minutes long and we’ve gotten about ten minutes of footage, if that. So it really is trying to put a full puzzle together with only a handful of pieces.
Whether this is accurate or not, fans should be excited with what’s about to happen to both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters and the multiverse collides on the big screen this December!
