To say that fans are excited for Spider-Man: No Way Home would be an understatement. After releasing a trailer just last week that broke the internet, some fans still can’t get enough and want more. While the wait for the film to be released in theaters is officially under a month now, it seems as though the studios are having a hard time keeping things a secret. And now it appears that another leak may have slipped through the cracks.
Perhaps the worst kept secret about Spider-Man: No Way Home would be the potential return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. While we don’t know it’s 100% certain that they’ll be returning yet – we do know there’s a 99.999999% chance they’ll be back. It wouldn’t make much sense if they didn’t come back considering all the villains that are returning. A listing from a German theater will only add fuel to those rumors.
Posted on Reddit, the theater listing gave a description of the film and included a line about dealing with “multiple versions of himself”:
The listing is quoted from the post as saying:
“Third Spider-Man Movie with Tom Holland, who has to fight against mutliple villains – and with multiple versions of himself.
Just after getting used to his powers as Spider-Man, something drastic happens. His identity is revealed. With a magic trick, Doctor Strange is supposed to help by making Spider-Man’s identity a secret again. But this doesn’t go as planned. The universes collide and not only odes Peter now have to fight against multiple villains like Doc Ock and the Green Goblin, but has to deal with multiple versions of himself too.”
While this is far from a confirmation that the actors will be appearing alongside Tom Holland in the movie, at this point, it’s just hard to believe that they won’t be in it. We’ll know for sure when Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on December 17th.
