It was quite a wait for the film to finally arrive, but last month fans finally got to see Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The long-awaited sequel to the 2018 film Venom finally introduced Woody Harrelson’s Cletus Kasady as the iconic villain Carnage. What’s more, the movie ended in such a way that it became connected with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After many discussions regarding how Sony’s films would tie in with the MCU, it became apparent that we’re finally getting the answers. Nevertheless, it turns out that there was actually an alternate ending for Venom: Let There Be Carnage. And it would’ve ended things on a much different note.
The alternate ending for Venom: Let There Be Carnage comes courtesy of Vudu. The footage obviously emphasizes the budding romance between Eddie Brock and Venom, and it shows the two characters hanging out on a beach. Of course, with the clip not having been used in the film, the visual effects are a little rough. Nevertheless, they get the point across, and it adds an interesting perspective to what was quite a ride for Venom and Carnage fans.

There’s always a lot of insight to be gained from bonus features like these. After all, the filmmaking process can often be a long and strenuous one. This includes plenty of changes, and even more so with these modern superhero franchises. With so many intricate steps taken to build to the next film or story arc, it’s neat to see what gets left on the cutting room floor. As it seems here, this clip just didn’t work for the final cut of the film.
Fans will be able to purchase Venom: Let There Be Carnage digitally on November 23, with a physical release due on December 14. These will include a variety of special features as well.
