Ever since the movie was first announced, fans have heavily speculated that Spider-Man: No Way Home would be a live action Spider-verse and see the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as their O.G. Wall Crawlers as they join Tom Holland’s Peter Parker for a multiversal battle. And now the new trailer adds even more credence to this, even though Holland and Garfield have adamantly denied this. Holland says people will have to believe him one day when he says that Tobey and Andrew aren’t involved, and Garfield has gone so far as to say he never even received a call about it. But a new photo has surfaced from a recent event that looks to point to a history between the actors.
At the GQ Man of the Year Event in L.A., a few pics of Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland embracing as old friends have surfaced on Twitter. It looks like they are reuniting after a bit of time apart, like say after shooting this film together and then jumping into other projects before the press tour begins.
Fans are of course jumping all over this as undeniable proof that Garfield is indeed in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Why else would they embrace? They seem so happy to see each other. It has to be because of the work they put in together on this project.

Or, hear me out, it could be due to their mutual respect as both having played Spider-Man. Tom has previously stated that Andrew’s portrayal of the character is one that he really honed in on growing up. And the embrace almost seems fanboy-esque on Holland’s part. They could also be laughing over all of these rumors about Garfield’s involvement in the movie and how crazy it has gotten.
Or they could be laughing at the fact that even though every fans thinks that Andrew and Tobey are in the film, no one really knows for sure until it finally hits theaters on December 17th.
