If the spot in the recent Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer which saw Lizard punching the air wasn’t enough to make you suspect something suspicious was going on with the editing – a new detail may change your mind on the situation. Of course, the Lizard punch probably should have told you that anyway. Now, fans believe they’ve found a different Spider-Man in the trailer because of some additional bad editing.
The potential editing error comes at around the 2:20 mark – where you can spot a Spider-Man suit – and the mask doesn’t really look like the Tom Holland one that we’ve all grown accustom to seeing over the years in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Some speculate that it’s Tobey Maguire‘s Spider-Man – while others have argued that it’s actually just Tom Holland. We’ll let you be the judge:
It was first noticed by BingeWatchThis, who tweeted:
Are we sure this is Tom’s Spidey? Look closely… #SpiderManNoWayHome pic.twitter.com/M4nKJ0xkU4

At this point, it would be a huge surprise if Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are not in the movie. Despite what looks to be clear and obvious evidence, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland have all denied the former Spidey actors returning, with Holland recently being quoted as saying:
“People don’t believe me when I say that [Maguire and Garfield] are not coming back. But people are going to have to believe me at some point. It means a lot to me. The first time you see Doc and the rest of the characters that come back, it’s so exciting – and it’s such a huge moment in cinematic history. It’s three generations coming together.”
Marvel Studios has shown us time and time again that they’ll “lie” to keep things a secret – but with all of the leaks that keep coming out of this movie, the secrets are getting harder and harder to keep. At least there isn’t much longer until Spider-Man: No Way Home comes out on December 17th.
