As any self-respecting Marvel Fan knows, when Thanos snapped his fingers, half of all life in the cosmos vanished from existence for a period of five years. And with the ever-changing landscape of Hollywood, at times it’s felt like we’ve been waiting just as long for any new details about the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. But finally, all that changed this week with the release of the movie’s second trailer. And it did not disappoint.
Well. Maybe they disappointed a little bit – but only because there was no Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield. On on the plus side, though, there was sufficient unsubtle CGI airbrushing included by the film’s producers to confirm that both actors will be involved in the movie’s epic multiversal climatic fight scene.
Along with the glimpses of literally every single Sony Spidey Bad Guy (Hello, Lizard!), we finally found out when tickets for the movie go on general sale. The MCU’s twenty-seventh offering lands in theatres on Friday December 17th, and we now know that the first chance cinema goers have to snap up tickets for the experience will be on Monday November 29th.
There’s no details yet on what time Marvel and Sony are planning to make the tickets available, but it’s reasonable to expect that it will be early on on the day, in order to maximize sales. If we look to use ticket sales for Spider-Man: Far From Home as a guide, they were made available at about 6 AM Pacific Standard Time, only reinforcing the likelihood of an early morning release.
With Willem Dafoe (Norman Osborn), Alfred Molina (Otto Octavius), Jamie Foxx (Max Dillon) and J. K. Simmons (J. Jonah Jameson) all on display, Spider-Man: No Way Home is shaping up to be the biggest and most ambitious Marvel project to date – and that’s a very high bar.
Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in theaters on December 17, 2021 with tickets going on sale on November 29th.
