There are quite a few villains slated to appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the next installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man series. The new film will see Peter Parker deal with the consequences of having accidentally meddled with the multiverse. As a result, these villains that Peter Parker is facing will be played by several familiar faces. This includes Alfred Molina, who will once again play Doc Ock – one of his most notable roles – as he was last seen in Spider-Man 2. Now a newly released image features Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock chasing after Spider-Man.
The new image comes courtesy of Empire Magazine, which features Doc Ock using his iconic tentacles. The mad scientist is using them to walk on the highway, chasing after Spider-Man, and moving a car that’s stuck in his way. It’s clear that Doc Ock will be quite persistent in his fight against Spider-Man, and one can only imagine what could happen next between the two characters.
As you can see in the image below:
What’s more, Empire also managed to release an image which includes a bruised Peter Parker played by Tom Holland as he prepares to fight yet again. Clearly these battles are quite overwhelming for the young superhero.
Of course, it’s possible that he might also be getting some help. While it hasn’t been confirmed, it’s been strongly rumored that both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, who each previously played Spider-Man in their own film franchises, could be returning. And considering that some of their previous villains are making appearances, it would certainly make sense if they did as well.
The highly anticipated MCU film was directed by Jon Watts from a script by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
Tom Holland, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, and Hannibal Buress are all attached to appear.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is currently scheduled to hit theaters on December 17, 2021.
