In honor of Halloween Kills, a contest titled “Face The Shape” was launched. The contest was designed to allow one lucky Michael Myers fan get killed by the slasher icon ahead of an early screening. With such an exciting opportunity, fans from across the US submitted entries to try and win. They submitted videos on TikTok and Instagram which explained why they happened to be the biggest Halloween fans, along with an example of their best scream.
Only one winner made it the top, however. Murtha from Pickerington, Ohio managed to win the contest. As explained by the press release for the newly released contest video:
“Similar to Dr. Loomis, Murtha became obsessed with Myers,” states the press release.
As for what Murtha had to say in his own submission video:
“I watch Halloween on the best days of my life and it gets me through my worst days.”
Now you can see Murtha in the video below, where as winner of the Face the Shape contest, he gets killed by Michael Myers. It’s a gruesome good time:
It’s clear that the video was made with a high quality level of production, up to par with the latest big screen entry in the franchise. Obviously Murtha has been granted a once in a lifetime experience, so as a massive Halloween fan, they’re no doubt happy to be immortalized in such a way.
Halloween Kills was directed by David Gordon Green who also helmed the 2018 film. He wrote the script alongside Danny McBride and Scott Teems. The film features a cast that includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Charles Cyphers, Anthony Michael Hall, Kyle Richards, Nancy Stephens, Jibrail Nantambu, and Robert Longstreet. James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle both return as Michael Myers.
Fans are currently able to see Halloween Kills both in theaters and on the Peacock streaming service.
