DC Fandome is here and it has already kicked off in a big way! The virtual convention focused on the fans was a huge success last year, giving fans huge insights to upcoming projects from DC in the video game, comic book, and movie world. It came at a time when the world was all but shut down due to the pandemic and it helped fans feel a part of something all across the globe. This year they want to do the same, but step it up to eleven. So, to kick off the event, who better than Dwayne Johnson and our first official look at Black Adam?
Fandome started off right, giving us a look at the emblems of the Justice Society of America, as Hawkman, Atom Smasher, Cyclone and Doctor Fate were highlighted before Johnson himself introduced a short clip from the introduction of the film.
This clip (linked below) looks to be our introduction to The Man In Black, Black Adam. A team of what seems to be tomb raiders or treasure hunters come across an abandoned throne room, where a crown floats above the throne. The woman on the team reads the hieroglyphics on the floor, ending with ‘Shazam!’. Blue lightning shoots from the floor, revealing a hooded figure all in black. One of the armed men approach the man, only to be quickly snapped up by the neck, and shocked until he is nothing but bones! The other men open fire, but Black Adam just catches one of the bullets to inspect this ‘new’ type of weapon. Then, fade to black.

Johnson told us that his over a decade long passion project is finally coming and that the film is in post production as we speak. So, even with the movie not slated until July 29th, 2022, expect to get some more glimpses at the movie in the next few months!
