It’s a good time to be a Marvel fan, especially if you’re a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There are a wide variety of projects in the works, including both movies and shows, and one such project is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The film will act as a sequel to Black Panther and build upon the concepts it introduced to the MCU. With the film officially undergoing shooting right now, some new set photos have been released. The latest set photos reveal some of the new costumes that the characters Okoye and Shuri will be wearing in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
As you can see via TMZ, the photos of Okoye and Shuri’s new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever costumes were taken at the MIT campus in Cambridge, MA. The actresses have black cloaks on hand to hide their costumes until shooting begins.

Despite these new costumes in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the location of these images could also reveal information about the upcoming film. In particular, the MIT campus setting could be a hint for the film’s plot. It’s been stated that the character Ironheart will play a role in the film, and one can suspect that she could be recruited from the campus. Of course, we’ll probably have to wait until the official release of the film or closer to its release date before we know for certain. In any case, it’s nice to see that production on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is moving forward.
Ryan Coogler will direct the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Joe Robert Cole.
The cast we can currently expect for the new film includes Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Martin Freeman, and Angela Bassett. Michaela Coel and Tenoch Huerta will also be joining the film’s cast.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled to hit theaters on July 8, 2022.
