With the recent announcement that actor Brendan Fraser would be appearing in Martin Scorsese’s upcoming film Killers of the Flower Moon, he’s been gaining attention from fans all over. The actor has had plenty of fan support over the years, especially for his appearances in The Mummy and its sequels. But it was only recently that fan support became so great that Brendan Fraser became emotional. As you can see below, he actually went viral on TikTok for having a conversation with a fan that proved to her he was the “purest of souls.”
The TikToker who recorded the conversation, named Lindley, managed to speak with Brendan Fraser through a virtual meet-and-greet via GalaxyCon Live. It was here that Brenden Fraser stated the following:
“I’m going to work with Scorsese and Leo and Bob DeNiro,” he explains.
Lindley then congratulated Brendan Fraser, who responded:
“Thank you, I think I might be sick! A little anxious. I mean, it’s going to be fun, but I’m like [pretends to chew fingernails].”
Lindley then let the beloved actor know just how much support his fans were giving him.
“You’ve got this. You’ve got this. Just know that the internet is so behind you. We’re so supportive. There are so many people out there who love you, and we’re rooting for you. And we can’t wait to see what you do next.”
At this point, Brendan Fraser has clearly become emotional. He tips his hat and states:
“Shucks, ma’am.”
The video call was clearly a great experience for both of them. While Brendan Fraser became emotional, so too did Lindley who wrote the following caption:
“Thank you @galaxyconlive for making this dream come true. THE MUMMY has been such a huge part of my life, so being able to meet Brendan Fraser is a memory I will treasure forever.”
She even noted the following about what Brendan Fraser stated when he realized she was dressed as Evie from The Mummy.
“And if anyone needs proof that this man is the purest of souls, here it is! He came ready with a rose, a hat-change, and as soon as he saw what I was wearing, he said ‘Evie, the years have been good to you!’ Just the sweetest man, and pardon my awkwardness, but I wanted to let him know how much the internet loves him, in case he was not already aware.”
