It appears that Netflix subscribers should start preparing for the next season of Stranger Things, as producer Shawn Levy has teased that season 4 is “coming soon.” What’s more, Shawn Levy has also promised that it will actually be “bigger than ever.” The upcoming season of the series has been unfortunately pushed through a variety of delays due to the ongoing pandemic, so seeing it back on track is definitely a good sign. It’s especially nice to know that one of the producers can assure fans that it will be coming soon.
Here’s what he specifically stated while speaking with Variety:
“To state the incredibly obvious, it’s been way, way, way, way too long, and it’s coming,” he teased. “It’s coming soon enough. And as for when exactly that will be announced – quite soon.”
Here’s what he had to say about the scope of the new season of the beloved series and its many different shooting locations:
“I shot in Lithuania right before the pandemic. We have filmed in Georgia, Lithuania and New Mexico, so suffice to say season 4 is sprawling,” he added. “It’s visually and narratively very ambitious, much more ambitious than the prior three seasons. The delay is due in large measure to COVID and the pace at which we have to work to do so safely, but it also happens to be the season that we chose to go much bigger. It’s the scale of this season and the multi-settings of season 4.”
We unfortunately don’t have much else information other than that at the moment. But considering Shawn Levy insists we should be having more information “quite soon,” then we’ll just have to keep our eyes and ears open. With production on the new season ongoing, it should all be only a matter of time before we get to know more about Stranger Things season 4 and whenever it’s supposed to be arriving.
