One of the most exciting announcements for television fans in the last few years has been that Dexter would be getting a new revival. When considering how fans reacted to the original Dexter finale, this was like a dream come true – a chance to rectify the conclusion that was so negatively received. Well, if this new trailer for Dexter: New Blood is anything to go by, then fans will have a lot to look forward to this time. The new trailer was released as a result of Comic-Con@Home, and the new sneak peek was also revealed alongside a special panel.

Indeed, it really is a good time to be a Dexter fan. The long wait following the previous disappointing conclusion is almost over – and soon we’ll get to see the return of one of television’s most popular serial killers.
In the new special event series titled Dexter: New Blood…
“Set 10 years after Dexter went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, the series finds him living under an assumed name in the small town of Iron Lake, New York. Dexter may be embracing his new life, but in the wake of unexpected events in this close-knit community, his Dark Passenger beckons.”
Aside from Michael C. Hall as the titular character, the cast also includes Julia Jones, Alano Miller, Johnny Sequoyah, Jack Alcott, and Clancy Brown. Original showrunner Clyde Phillips is returning to handle Dexter: New Blood.
