There is a wide variety of Marvel projects in development at the moment, one of which includes the upcoming sequel Captain Marvel 2. The film will pick up after the events of the first Captain Marvel movie, and once again star actress Brie Larson in the title role. As a result, Brie Larson has been hard at work training for her role in the film. After all, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel is one of the franchise’s most powerful superheroes – so Brie Larson will definitely have to be physically prepared for the part. Now, showing that she is still busy training for the role, Brie Larson has shared an impressive new video.
As you can see below, the footage shows Brie Larson working out – with a particular emphasis on her growing strength. While this isn’t the first training video that the actress has shared on social media, it is one that illustrates how far into her physical journey she’s gotten. Specifically, the actress shows off her ability to do a hanging knee raise while weighted chains dangle from her waist. She then dedicates the performance to Miley Cyrus, a singer whose song “Midnight Sky” is also playing in the video.

It’s definitely interesting to see just how much further along Brie Larson has gotten with her training, and we can only expect her to continue to make progress. Especially as development on Captain Marvel 2 moves further ahead. The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film will play a hefty part in Phase 4 of the MCU, so it’ll be exciting to witness where things develop from here. Aside from Brie Larson, the film will also star Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau.
Captain Marvel 2 is going to be directed by filmmaker Nia DaCosta for a scheduled November 11, 2022 release date.
