    ‘Wonder Woman’ Actress Gal Gadot Faces Backlash Over Middle East Peace Tweet

    Actress Gal Gadot, famously known for having portrayed the current live-action version of DC’s Wonder Woman, has been targeted by Twitter users. The They began their attacks on Gal Gadot after she publicly prayed for peace between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza strip and the Israeli city of Lod. The events occurred after Hamas and Palestinian militants decided to launch rockets towards southern Israel.

    As you can see below, the Israel Defense Forces shared footage of their Iron Dome Aerial Defense System intercepting a variety of rockets from the attack.

    They also made the following statement on Twitter:

    “In response to HUNDREDS of rockets in the last 24 hours, the IDF has struck a number of significant terror targets and terror operatives across the Gaza Strip, marking our largest strike since 2014.

    “We are currently striking more terror targets in Gaza.”

    As a result of the chaos, rioting has also began in the cities of Lod and Acre. In fact, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that they will use “an iron first if needed” against rioters and protesters. With so much going on, Hollywood film actress Gal Gadot decided to publicly pray for the hostilities to end. As you can read in the below Twitter post, she wrote:

    “My heart breaks. My country is at war. I worry for my family, my friends. I worry for my people. This is a vicious cycle that has been going on for far too long.

    “Israel deserves to live as a free and safe nation, Our neighbors deserve the same,

    “I pray for the victims and their families, I pray for this unimaginable hostility to end, I pray for our leaders to find the solution so we could live side by side in peace. I pray for better days.”

    At this point, some Twitter users decided to target Gal Gadot.
