Filming is currently underway on The Flash, the upcoming DC film based on the titular superhero of the same name. The movie is being directed by Andy Muschietti, and it’ll contain a few other familiar faces – such as Michael Keaton’s Batman which hasn’t been seen since Batman Returns in 1992. Now a variety of new set photos have been released, and they show that The Flash will actually feature more than just Michael Keaton’s Batman – it’ll include his original Wayne Manor. Indeed, it looks like this film will feature many references to Tim Burton’s Batman and Batman Returns beyond Michael Keaton’s appearance.
As you can see below, these new images from The Lincolnite feature glimpses at both Warner Bros trucks and set construction being performed at Burghley House in Lincolnshire, England. This absolutely confirms that the classic Wayne Manor will return once again in The Flash, and that should have fans more than excited.

Now that the location has been revealed, it could only be a matter of time before we learn how it will be used in the upcoming superhero film. There could also soon be glimpses of cast members Ezra Miller or Michael Keaton himself at the location, so as always, stay tuned for details as we have them. It’ll definitely be nice to pick up where Batman Returns left off and see what Michael Keaton’s take on the character has been up to over the last few decades.
Andy Muschietti is currently directing The Flash from a script written by Christina Hodson. Ezra Miller will be starring as the titular superhero The Flash. Meanwhile, the aforementioned Michael Keaton will be playing Bruce Wayne aka Batman for the first time since Batman Returns. Ben Affleck is also intended to return as his Batman from the modern DCEU.
The film is currently scheduled for a theatrical release date next year on November 4, 2022. As always, stay tuned to ScreenGeek for updates on the upcoming superhero project as we have them.
