Although The Falcon and The Winter Soldier recently concluded its six episode run, the story of Captain America is far from over. In fact, it’s just been announced that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier showrunner Malcom Spellman is currently writing Captain America 4. He’ll be writing the script for the film with Dalan Musson.
As explained via THR, Dalan Musson wrote last week’s episode while Malcom Spellman wrote the first and final episodes of the series. As such, the two seem like the perfect duo to craft the story for Captain America 4. Especially since it presumably will follow the events of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, in which Sam Wilson has taken on the Captain America mantle. As suggested in the new report:
“The feature is likely to continue the story of Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie, and the current wielder of the shield. But as the writers get to work, it will interesting to see how the story unfolds with there now being multiple people who have been Captain Americas in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”
So details are being kept under wraps for now, but it does seem likely that Sam Wilson will be the focus of the film. Of course, there are always plenty of possibilities for other actors and characters to make appearances – especially for a big screen outing like this. For example, it seems like a possibility that Chris Evans himself could be showing up for this new entry. Of course, we’ll just have to wait and see how the film continues to develop.
As such, stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any further updates on Captain America 4 as we have them. Hopefully we’ll have a better idea soon regarding just how this film will work and what its connections to The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and other MCU properties will be.
