Since its inception in 2013, The Conjuring and its subsequent installments have all been major successes. Whether at the box office, with critics, or with fans – each installment of the horror franchise has done surprisingly well in some way if not all of the above. And with The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It on the way, fans are still excited for the future of the franchise. This includes previously announced spin-offs like a sequel to The Nun and a Crooked Man film. But what about the main Conjuring stars Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson? As it turns out, both cast members are eager to do more Conjuring movies as well.
While speaking with Empire, via Dread Central, Vera Farmiga stated the following:
“Oh my god, I’d love to. It’s interesting, we have to up the fear in each one. Demonology is already so high-pitched and operatic.”
Her co-star, Patrick Wilson, also agreed that he’d love to do more Conjuring movies alongside Vera Farmiga.
“We constantly want to push these characters. I would like to, for no other reason than I would want to keep playing opposite Vera.”
This should no doubt get fans excited, especially with The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It on the way. After all, the film’s release date is this summer – so we’ll probably be seeing the promotional stage take off any moment now. As such, stay tuned to ScreenGeek for updates on the film and any further Conjuring installments as we have them.
The next horrifying film in the franchise, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, was directed by Michael Chaves, who previously directed The Curse of La Llorona.
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will be returning as main characters Ed and Lorraine Warren, with newcomers Ruairi O’Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Julian Hilliard joining the cast.
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It is scheduled to hit theaters and HBO Max on June 4, 2021.
