After a lengthy development period, which seemed to never end, production on the upcoming DC superhero film The Flash has finally started. In order to celebrate this exciting news, the official logo for The Flash has been released. As a result, the fact that the movie is finally happening has been reaffirmed. Fans that have been anxiously wondering about if the film would ever happen or not can now rest assured – The Flash is on the way.
The project, which was first announced in 2014 with a variety of different individuals behind its development over time, is currently being directed by Andy Muschietti. Fans may recognize Muschietti for his work on IT: Chapter One and IT: Chapter Two. The filmmaker is eagerly shooting the project based on a script written by Christina Hodson, and it seems that the story is loosely based on the Flashpoint comic book storylines. So while Ezra Miller, who previously portrayed the character, is still going to be the titular superhero – this also opens doorways for other iconic actors to join the cast. In particular, Michael Keaton will be joining the project as Bruce Wayne aka Batman – a role he hasn’t played in decades since Batman Returns was released.
This is exciting news, especially paired with the newly released logo for The Flash which you can view below:
