The Marvel Cinematic Universe is especially well-known for giving heartbreaking experiences to fans across the globe. This has come in both minor and major blows, with a variety of iconic characters having been killed off throughout the vast superhero franchise. According to a new report, it looks like the upcoming superhero adventure Spider-Man: No Way Home will follow this tradition. It’s been stated that major characters will be killed off in the new Spider-Man film. As a result, it looks like fans can expect Peter Parker to deal with even more tragedy with what has already been a very tough life on such a young individual.
According to the report, via insider Daniel Richtman, it isn’t clear exactly which major characters will be killed in Spider-Man: No Way Home. It also isn’t clear in what scenario or any other detail such as that. So there could be any number of possibilities, including fake-out deaths from alternate universes, time travel, or any of the other misleading shenanigans that have popped up in the MCU from time to time. But considering Tom Holland has previously teased some very emotional sequences for Spider-Man: No Way Home, it wouldn’t be surprising if this report hits harder than fans are ready for.
In any case, we likely won’t know for sure what the circumstances are until Spider-Man: No Way Home makes its way to theaters at the end of this year. Of course, with the variety of interesting rumors and reports regarding all sorts of character appearances and story tidbits – who knows what we might find out next? Either way, No Way Home is definitely going to be a big step for Marvel.
As of right now, the cast includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, and Hannibal Buress. Although more casting announcements are to be expected.
The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home is scheduled to hit theaters on December 17, 2021.
