Spider-Man; No Way Home has been a beacon for theories/conspiracies/rumors the likes of like nothing before in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With the addition of so many returning cast-mates like Jamie Foxx as Electro and Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus and Avengers like Doctor Strange, the film seems to be setting up a possible live action Spider-Verse. Top that off with the rumors of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield returning as their versions of Spider-Man and it would seem that fans are getting what they want. However, Tom Holland has denied these rumors and others have debunked them as well. But, could a crew wrap gift confirm Garfield’s involvement?

Released on Twitter, a picture of the crew wrap gifts showcases a t-shirt with Spider-Man on it. But, the Spider-Man in question is actually wearing the Andrew Garfield Amazing Spider-Man uniform. You see the particular eyelets from this version, the red piping, and even the blue fingers. Could this be the confirmation fans needed to prove that we are indeed getting a live action Spider-Verse? Probably not. The person who is attributed to the photo has actually had to deactivate their account from all the spam he was receiving. Also, he confirmed that the image on the shirt was simply an image pulled from Google. To compound on that, a friend of the photographer who took the original image of Garfield in the suit has voiced his concern over his friend’s image being used without permission.

The photo was used and altered without consent. The photo is by @MegSuperPhoto and of my boy Todd Whalen. Maybe for next time you ask the artists to use their work before just taking it as your own.

All in all, we still don’t no anything for certain when it comes to what this film will truly entail. There have been contradictory reports, false confirmations, and rumors galore as to whether Maguire and Garfield will actually be a part of the film or not. But, the plus side here is that filming has wrapped up, at least in part. So that means we could get a trailer in a month or so that we possibly answer at least some of our quandaries as to what the film will actually be about.
