Obvious spoilers follow. Given how we left Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson in Avengers: Endgame, it’s safe for us to have assumed that the next time we saw the character, he would dressed in the Stars and Stripes. However as evidenced in last Fridays debut episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Sam is very much still operating as The Falcon. In fact, not only is Sam not Captain America – someone else has taken up the mantle! However, thanks to some newly uncovered merchandise from the show, we know not only that Sam will eventually adopt the mantle – but we know just how he may look in the suit.
This first look at the character’s suit was reported by Marvelous News and came courtesy of the show’s Marvel Select figure. As you can see from the tweets below, it is very much inspired by the look Sam Wilson sported when he took on the mantle in All-New Captain America back in January 2015.

This certainly isn’t the first time we have had a potential glimpse at the suit, but it may be our best.
As previously stated, the closing scene of the first episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier revealed that Wyatt Russell’s John Walker had been announced as America’s new Sentinel of Liberty. This leads to the question of how Sam’s acceptance of the role comes about, but based on this action figure, it’s something that’s likely to happen by the end of the shows six episode run.
You can check out Sam Wilson and John Walker in the first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney Plus now, with the rest of the series dropping every Friday.
