The Snyder Cut, now known as Zack Snyder’s Justice League, is just two weeks away from its long anticipated release on HBO Max. After four years of fans crying out in droves for this film, the four hour epic hits the streaming service and will showcase Snyder’s original vision for the film (which was meant to be two films, actually). But, sitting through a four hour film is borderline unprecedented, even in the comfort of your own home. Sitting for that long of a stretch could be overwhelming for many. Luckily, the movie will be broken down in to chapters, six to be exact, that will allow you to stop at a specific moment and pick it up later without having to pick a random moment and ruin the flow of the film. And now we have the titles of the chapters and they give a subtle hint to the flow of the plot.
The six chapters that help break up the film into the beats of the plot are as follows:
Chapter 1 – “Don’t Count On It, Batman”
Chapter 2 – “The Age of Heroes”

Chapter 6 – “Something Darker”

The titles are pretty vague, but they do give a feel of the flow. The film starts around Batman trying to assemble the team. Chapter 2 looks to be how they come together, moving into Chapter 3 and possible the rebirth of Superman (which could also fall under Chapter 4).
The biggest plot point, however, is revealed in Chapter 6’s title, as Snyder has said that the film ends on a major cliffhanger and be rated R. Does Darkseid win in the end, ala Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War? Will this tease of a sequel lead to nothing? It will be hard to judge whether it was truly worth giving fans this film, as it won’t be in theaters, but the streaming service can keep track of views and new subscriptions around the release. Maybe this movie ends up being as great as the fan militia behind its release believe it to be, leading to Snyder getting to shoot his sequel after all.
