The Marvel Cinematic Universe has made their name on the backs of elevating lower level comic book characters into elite level icons. Iron Man was B list at best in the comics, not exactly a household name, yet he became the foundation for the most successful interconnected film franchise in history. The Guardians of the Galaxy were as obscure as they come, yet are now one of the most popular teams in cinema. Marvel isn’t going to buck this trend any time soon, either. One of the most anticipated films that are upcoming is Eternals, about a group of immortal enhanced beings that predate humanity. But, the film that a lot of people are still sleeping on is Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. A new toy leak may just get people hyped again.
A new Lego leak gives us our first look at Shang-Chi’s costume for the film. Shang-Chi is Marvel’s greatest martial artist, having bested the likes of Iron Fist and more, as well as training most of the heroes in several different martial arts. He even helped develop a special martial art for Spider-Man that incorporates his super agility and strength, called “Spider-Fu”. His film, due out this summer, looks to be a fighting tournament style movie. And, with this toy leak, we get a look at his costume.

It definitely has that MCU feel, using comic book inspiration for a real world uniform. We also see Wenwu, aka the Mandarin (the real one). There is also a Chinese dragon and there is even Morris! Honestly, we have no idea what this little creature named Morris is – but hey, why not, right?
This is the first real reveal of anything from this movie. I would suspect that we will be getting some kind of teaser soon, as the film is due out in just a few months. Possibly Marvel has held off of that to maybe reveal Shang-Chi in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier or at least a teaser will be released along with it. Regardless, this movie should be an amazing new direction for Marvel, giving them yet another part of the world to explore. As soon as an official teaser comes out, we’ll be the first to let you know!
