With Disney now holding ownership over the iconic Predator franchise, it means the classic film series will be revived in comic book format for the time being. This means Disney’s very own Marvel will be publishing the new Predator comics, and as a result, a series of new variant covers have been released. The covers, as you can see, feature a Predator hunting down some of the biggest superheroes from Marvel. In total, six variant covers have been released.
The covers, courtesy of Marvel, were drawn up by an exciting group of artists. These artists include Cory Smith, Superlog, Junggeun Yoon, Juan José Ryp, Mattia De Iulis, and Chris Sprouse. Meanwhile, the Marvel superheroes that are shown going up against the Predator include Peter Parker’s Spider-Man, Miles Morales’ Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, the Fantastic Four, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and Valkyrie.
These comics should certainly hold fans over until Marvel releases their all-new lines of both Predator and Alien comics. And not only will we be getting new stand-alone comics for both popular franchises, but they’ll also be republishing omnibuses featuring some of the greatest Alien and Predator comics of the past. It’s going to be a good time to be a Predator fan. Especially considering there’s a new movie in the works as well. Hopefully we’ll have more details on that soon, as well as Disney’s upcoming live-action Alien TV series which was previously announced.
