Brie Larson is apparently set to become the highest-paid actress in a superhero film, thanks to Captain Marvel 2. The actress is said to have earned $5 million for her role in 2019’s Captain Marvel. However, due to the film’s mammoth box office success (and performance bonuses), she’s likely to have walked away with a lot more. But with a little less than two years to go until its opening day, it looks like she’s set to break records with the upcoming MCU sequel.
It’s been reported that Larson will become the highest-paid actress in a superhero film in her second solo outing as Carol Danvers. The title was previously held by Scarlett Johansson, who earned $15 million for Black Widow, as well as each of the Avengers movies. According to insider Daniel Richtman, Larson will become the highest paid actress in a superhero film with her salary for Captain Marvel — which would suggest its at least $15 million.
