Marvel has teased a possible appearance from Daredevil in the upcoming She-Hulk series. She-Hulk was among the new Marvel series’ announced during Disney’s 2020 Investor Day event on Thursday, with Kevin Feige confirming that Tatiana Maslany will be playing She-Hulk, aka, Jennifer Walters.
In the same announcement, he also confirmed that Mark Ruffalo and Tim Roth would be appearing in the series, as Bruce Banner and Abomination respectively. However, he sparked theories that the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen could be in the show when he noted that “in courtrooms in the MCU you never know who you will run into”.
“Since Jennifer Walters is a lawyer who specialises specifically in superhero-oriented legal cases, you never know what Marvel characters are going to pop up from episode to episode,” he said while announcing the show. He added the show will welcome a “host” of Marvel characters to the show — although he didn’t specify who, or what side of the law the character would be on.
There are, of course, a number of high-profile lawyers and people who have law degrees in the MCU — like Everett Ross, Jeryn Hogarth (or Jeri Hogarth as she’s known in the films), or Franklin ‘Foggy’ Nelson. But that hasn’t stopped fans from wondering if Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox, is returning for the MCU show. When he’s not the Man Without Fear, Murdock is a lawyer — so that definitely makes him a contender for one of the characters who could be making an appearance.
Charlie Cox played Daredevil/Matt Murdock in the Netflix series, Daredevil. It ran for three seasons before it was cancelled in late 2018, and with the rights having recently reverted back to Marvel, fans have been eager to see him in the MCU again. And it looks like they may already be getting their wish, as a recent rumor has suggested that Cox will be reprising the role in Spider-Man 3.
